PRESS RELEASE FOR THE DEBUT ALBUM BY KITES
"FAR MEMORY"
"Far Memory" features the excellent song writing of Paul Campbell from the North East of England. Paul has been playing guitar and writing songs for a number of years. He has written with artists such as Cathy Dennis, Graham Gouldman, Henry Priestman, Alex Callier (Hooverphonic) having enjoyed a number one with the latter, as well as performing with The Christians. He is currently involved in a number of new projects.
The lead vocals on "Far Memory" are performed by Tim Jones who runs the Stone Premonitions label and currently works with Census Of Hallucinations, The Rabbit's Hat, Jack In The Box and Neon, amongst others.
Steve Robson, currently performing with Shay Tal and Punishment Of Luxury is on drums and percussion whilst Irish Celtic Rock bass player and trombonist Ken Linton is the other dynamic half of the rhythm section.

A MESSAGE FROM SIMON AT PINK HEDGEHOG RECORDS
Hello again everyone... Simon here from Pink Hedgehog HQ and Garfield Birthday (the soap opera). Remember the "Brian is back" campaigns of the Beach Boys in 1976 and again in the early 80s? Well forget that, this is the "Shane's back" campaign, which has absolutely nothing to do with it all...
I have a favour to ask (don't stop reading!). Please have a quick look at this email and then look into the bottom of your heart (or the heart of your bottom if you prefer) and let me gently tug at the strings of your love muscle! I took my brother shane to his hospital appointment today... as you know by now (how could you avoid it with me haunting your inbox of late), my brother plays guitar in Garfields Birthday with me and has been off work for several months now with a crippling back problem. Well, he's had all the surgery he needs and he has reached the point where he is able to walk again (sort of... hurrah for modern medicine and the clever doctors who rebuilt him!), and now he is undergoing extensive physiotherapy and the like, in order to get him mobile again. Well, here's the thing... he has the chance of a course of hydrotherapy (that's in the water innit), which will cost him a total of £140 (he is unable to get this on the NHS), which will involve a six week course of treatment that will no doubt get him up and about all the sooner... and back to work... and also back playing with the band!
Obviously being unable to work (or gig) or do much of anything for such a long time, the cash isn't exactly in great supply for my bro and his clan... but i would really really love to help pay for these therapy sessions and get him up and running (or at least fast walking) again as soon as possible. Partly because I want to be playing music and doing stuff with him, but also because he is my brother... (cue the Hollies) and as a student I am terminally skint and unable to do much in the way off offer financial succour... so what I propose to do is this:
