Pilotos- Thank god for the Devil
(Self Released)

From Aural Innovations #37 (Sep 2007)

Pilotos have been on the Swedish stoner rock scene since 1999 and are still going strong! This Stockholm based rock band just keeps kicking out the funny rock and roll and this is their 4th release. This release is more just down and dirty rock and roll (7 songs in 22 minutes) than the other CDs that I have heard by them. There is also a lot of focus on the vocals with a lot of choruses with multiple backing voices. They are clearly really having fun as you can tell with songs like Blond Guy and the strange middle section of Malo. Urban Blues is a slow track and the first words are “I want to kill you”.. Great song… She’s one of a kind is a bit like QOTSA. Get out of his Way is one I am sure the crowds sing, if they play this one live… Not Alone is probably my favourite track on the CD as I really like the sort of spacey guitar and laid back groove and nice bass line and the only song with guitar solos and a bit of jam. De Devil ends this pretty good rock and roll CD… Fun guys as well.. met them once…
