Siena Root - Dragens Hule, København 8/21/08

From Aural Innovations #40 (September 2008)

This was the fourth time the band has come and played in Copenhagen and the third time at Dragens Hule. One thing that is great with this band is they really mix it up. This was also the first time playing with this line up of the new singer (is actually the original first singer in the band) from the amazing new record and also a guest flute player. On previous tours they have had an additional singer or a guest sitar player. Anyway, not a lot of people on this Thursday night as quite a few probably went over to the free Malmofestivalen over the bridge as Graveyard and Clutch were playing among others. Anyway, the 40 or so people were really into it and the band was having a great time as well and played a killer set for us, about 100 minutes with the encores! A great mixtures of tracks with two guitars, 4 or so with flute, some with KG on organ and no guitar. Pure authentic 70's blues roots rock by one of Sweden's best bands. Awesome.

Set List: Coming Home, Ridin' Slow, Words, Almost There, Trippin', Time will Tell, Wishing for More, The Summer is Old, Break of Dawn, Long way from Home, Waiting for the Sun, Dreams of Tomorrow Encores: The Rat, Little Man, A new Day Dawning, Reverberations
