No Life Orchestra - "Friday People"
(Luftwaffel Records WAF011)

From Aural Innovations #40 (September 2008)

No Life Orchestra is a really unique and strange bunch of guys from Trondheim. They make music to challenge your definition of what you think is punk rock, with strange ways of going about it. This record features a new singer and is a bit more hardcore but with a really strange and unique psychedelic twist. Damn hard to describe and unique, I guess because of the unique use of the organ, which is not normally used in this kind of music. The LP starts off with a punk-ska track with some organ. Intense. Cockbone is something totally different with a dark mysterious side but then it changes to something totally different. Cockbone is a really frantic track that really keeps you on the edge. Rigmarole is another unique one. The organ just really throws you off and this balances the intensity of the lyrical delivery. Phew... Side 2 increases the intensity and psychedelic nature of this strange trip. Be careful with drug use when listening to this music. Not recommended for schizophrenic people. Really cool band.
