Djevara - "Third World War Cast the First Stone"
(Genin Records)

From Aural Innovations #35 (January 2007)

This is one angry record but you know I quite liked it. A lot better than the rest of the metal stuff I have got the last few months. The band is angry and the hardcore comes out in their sound but they also have a lot of Tool influence in the way they use melodic voice and not in the way the music is put together. The music is more simple, but not as simple as punk rock. They have some quite strong songs that really keep pulling you further into the record. The band also goes for long songs with most on this record over 5 minutes. I did not hear the bands first album, God is White, but it might be worth looking into. This is fucking good stuff.
