(Alive Records 00067-2)

From Aural Innovations #34 (August 2006)

SSM stands for the first initial in the 3 members last names. The band is from New York City and plays a noise sort of indie pop that is very inspired by the rock of the early 60's in some ways but very noisy and distorted. They mix in as lot of funny psychy stuff as well at times. The music is very much driven by the organ-keyboard player and his sound in the band. At times they remind me a bit of the Talking Heads but in their own unique way. A lot of cool music on this CD. It takes several listens to get into it but it offers a lot of strange stuff.
