Equicez and WE - "Blind" (Pass It On Records)

This is a 3 track promotional single for a collaboration between Norwegian rockers, WE and the hiphop rap group Equicez. "Blind" is a nearly 9 minutes track. The collaboration happened as Equicez recorded their CD in the Hangaround Studio in Oslo run by WE guitarist, Don. The "Blind" track starts with a cool monologue by Thomas of WE. Some scratches, piano, effected vocals. Then the beats and first rapper comes in. After a couple of minutes a slightly funky guitar kicks in and a rap ensues. Thomas from WE comes back with a cool chorus (If you don’t, if you don’t have the roots, your Blind, so sorry but you get left behind!). An interesting mixture of rock and rap vocals and riffs. It gives for quite a psychedelic mix. It is a really cool song and Don plays an awesome guitar solo at the end of the track. What a total jamming freakout at the end. "Drekkalåta" is the other track and does not feature WE. The third track, I don’t know what it is as it is not listed on the promo single and their web site does not work. Sorry. It is hip hop rap stuff. I am not qualified to say much about it as this is not my kind of music. It is well produced though.
