GROOP - Voodoo Sitar/Kozmik Sounds 7" (Ace of Discs 000)

This is a project on the new UK label, Ace of Discs, run by friends of Gary Ramon and Acme Records. This is the debut release on the label and features Gary Ramon on sitar on the title track. I really dig this track with the sitar and cool groove but it ends so quickly at 3½ minutes, just as you are getting into it. "Kozmik Sounds" features vocalist Lokastiel and has a repetitve electronic-garagey groove and sound, not really techno. The vocals are highly effected and this song in particular seems to be targeted for DJs. Pretty cool music. I look forward to the full length CD.
