Eternal Elysium - "Share"
(Meteor City 2002, MCY-019)

From Aural Innovations #19 (April 2002)

This is the 2nd CD by this Japanese 3 piece and quite an impressive piece of work. The band have a very heavy sound, sometimes moving towards doom but more of a 70s sound most of the time. A mixture of cool guitars, panned vocals and long songs makes for quite a journey. This is not a CD you just throw on and jam along to while you are working around the house or something. It really demands a listen to fully enjoy the heavy blues rock inspired grooves of a lot of the songs and of course a bit of Black Sabbath. They really do things their own unique Japanese ways and the songs are never evolving the way you might think they will as you are listening to them. Quite a special band. What more can I say??????
