1. Hawkestra 10/21/2000 - Uneven performance, but magical 3.5 hour event
at Brixton Academy in London. Lemmy, Dave, Simon H., Nik, Tim Blake, and
the spirit of Bob Calvert floating somewhere nearby. Cue time warp.
2. Quarkstock 2000 - Two-day Memorial Day weekend full of outstanding
space rock performances, championed by Columbus' own Quarkspace.
Especially fun was Arc Met's set, now archived on 'Viva.'
3. Strange Daze 2000 - The fourth annual outdoor space rock
extravaganza... as good as always. Daevid Allen's University of Errors and
Harvey Bainbridge headlining.
4. Circle's first US tour, to support the release of Prospekt (2000), and
the US releases of Pori (Feldspar) and Andexelt (tUMULt).
5. Abunai! - Round Wound - amazing collection of space jams
6. Space Cadet Elroy - Metaphorical Fire - fantastic conceptual space epic
from NW Ohio
7. Helio Sequence - Com Plex - great sounds on this one, both vintage and
modern
8. Hochenkeit - omu4h 4aholab/400 boys - Strange title, interesting
avant-garde stuff
9. Acid Jam 2 - two long discs full of Woronzow's star lineup
10. Korai Orom - Korai 2000 - It ain't out quite yet, but the anticipation
of it alone deserves mention
